Privacy policy

Last updated: August 2026

Introduction

Privacy is important to Chrona, and this policy explains how we handle your information and data when you use our website and app.

Please read this policy carefully and contact us with any questions or concerns about our privacy practices.

Who are we?

Chrona is operated by Gareth Cronin as a sole trader, based in New Zealand, providing a time intelligence tool that helps people spot clashes and coordinate across their calendars.

What information do we collect?

  • If you join our waitlist, we store the email address you provide so we can contact you about early access.
  • If you connect a Google or Microsoft calendar to Chrona, we access calendar data (such as event times, titles, and attendees) via the relevant provider's API, solely to detect clashes and provide scheduling features.
  • We do not sell your data, and we do not use your calendar content for advertising.
  • We store basic usage information (such as feature usage counts) to help us improve the product.

How do we secure your data?

Data is stored securely on AWS infrastructure. Access tokens for connected calendar accounts are encrypted at rest. You can revoke Chrona's access to your calendars at any time from your Google or Microsoft account settings, or by contacting us to have your data deleted.

Third-party services

Chrona connects to third-party calendar providers (Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook/Microsoft 365) on your behalf, using OAuth, to read and display your calendar data. Use of these providers is subject to their own privacy policies.

Use of cookies and other technologies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We may use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the site is used.

How to contact us

You can email us at help@chrona.click with any questions, or to request that your data be deleted.
